More fun in Halifax!

This morning we headed in to the waterfront area to have breakfast at Tim Horton's and then head to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. It was on the to do list as it has many artifacts from the Titanic as it sunk off the coast and many of the people were brought to Halifax and some of the artifacts are here in the museum. The picture of the cabinet is one of the only pieces that was found in almost perfect condition. This is a piece of a life preserver from John Jacob Astor. These small shoes were on the wee boy who is known as the unknown child.

and has a grave at the cemetery.

We were also interested in seeing the Fairview Lawn Cemetery where many of the people were laid to rest including an unknown child. It was a fun day and we also wandered around the wharf and got Beavertails after lunch and found a restaurant to go back to for dinner tonight. We were able to come back to the hotel so mom could

rest and MacLean and I could hit the pool and hot tub!
