Tobermory what a time we had!

We had decided after consulting the weather channel constantly that Friday would be the day for our trip to Tobermory. It is about an hour and a half from the cottage so early Friday morning we packed coolers, snack bags etc and headed off for our drive. The moms stopped for coffee and we were good to go. The drive was uneventful except for the black cloud and rain that followed us up the road. When we arrived in Tobermory the sky parted and the sun came out so we could enjoy the rest of our day. We bought our tickets for the boat ride right away as last year we were disappointed and didn't make it out to Flowerpot Island which is a must see. We chose the Zephyr boat which took us on a hair raising adventure as we flew across the water to the island. Before we went to the island we stopped in a harbour to see a couple of shipwrecks which are just under the water. It was so cool.

We then headed to the island and before we got off the boat we witnessed the small and large flowerpots. It is truly an amazing sight to see these beautiful structures that broke away and are just there! What a beautiful place and how lucky are we that we live in such a beautiful Province and Country!
